Rob Baynard is a PGA Professional specializing in short game, junior golf and data analysis. He currently serves as a Teaching Professional at Konnectgolf, and the Lead Assistant Golf Professional at Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, NY.

He previously worked as the Director of Junior Golf at Sleepy Hollow Country Club by way of Westchester Country Club. Coach Rob spends his winters at Konnectgolf in midtown Manhattan.

Originally from Florida, Rob had a club in his hand before he could walk. He learned the golf swing from Mike Adams and hall of fame instructor Bob Toski. He learned the mental game from Dr. Gio Valiante and Strokes Gained insights from Mark Broadie.
Rob turned professional in 2004, playing on the Grey Goose Gateway Tour, and he continues working on his game in playing in tournaments like the Met Open, Westchester Open and the Fairgame Cup. Rob was the only player to win twice on the Met PGA Assistants Tour in 2023.
Rob currently serves on the Metropolitan PGA Assistants Board of Directors and was selected to join the Met PGA Assistants Ryder Cup Team and the Gene Borek Squire Cup Team in both 2024 and 2025.

His instruction combines skill-building with a focus on competitive play, gamifying improvement and empowering players to swing with confidence and precision.

Shoot lower scores

Rob’s teaching approach is centered on practical techniques, achievable goals and mental strategies that lead to measurable scoring improvements. Rob is big on using Arccos, Clippd and other in-round data tracking to focus practice plans, goal setting, consistency, course management, and short-game skills, giving players all the tools they need to confidently lower their scores and maximize their potential.
